Job Description:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases and sources.
  • Design, develop, and enhance SSRS reports and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and metrics for stakeholders.
  • Create interactive and insightful Power BI dashboards and reports to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Automate data processes and workflows using Power Automate to streamline data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks.
  • Desired but not required - Apply Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies to identify process inefficiencies, optimize workflows, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver Power BI solutions that meet stakeholders' needs.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and insights that drive business value and inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including process maps, data dictionaries, and report specifications, to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance with best practices.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools, reports, and analytics capabilities to promote self-service analytics and data literacy within the organization.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and technologies in the Power BI and analytics space, and proactively recommend innovative solutions to enhance the BI infrastructure and capabilities.
  • Act as the administrator for various technology applications across all business segments.

Experience and Skills:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Candidates should be a subject matter expert with following products:
    • Proven experience as a SQL Developer with expertise in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database optimization techniques.
    • Strong proficiency in SSRS for designing and developing pixel-perfect reports and dashboards.
    • Hands-on experience with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX calculations, and visualization design.
    • Familiarity with process mapping techniques and tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio) to document and analyze business processes.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality BI solutions within agreed timelines and budget constraints.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Desired but not required - Certification in Lean Six Sigma (e.g., Yellow Belt, Green Belt, or Black Belt) with demonstrated experience in process improvement methodologies.
